Bai Yun Hotel The Bai Yun Hotel (Baiyun binguan) is a three star hotel located on East Huanshi Road, the city centre of Guangzhou that contains many large stores, hotels and commercial buildings. The hotel is also close to the Friendship Store, the Pearl River, a Subway Gate, the Tianhe Railway Station and the site of the China Export Commodities Trade Fair. It is about 7km from the airport and 3km from the railway station. The Bai Yun is a newly designed building, modeled however on the architectural style of Lin Nan (ancient southern China). The hotel has a garden that is designed in the ancient style, with waterfalls, small springs and jagged rockeries. The hotel is 34 stories high, with a total of 795 guestrooms, ranging from standard rooms to presidential suites. The tastefully furnished meeting facilities include a grand conference hall and variously sized meeting rooms, while the business centre provides fax, typing and photocopying services. There is also a ticket reservation center, a store, a gym, a beauty salon and a post office. Within the hotel there are four restaurants. The Baiyunlou Restaurant offers Cantonese Food, Chaozhou Food, Beijing Food and Shandong Food. The hall can accommodate 500 persons holding cock-tail party. The western restaurant provides good western cuisine, mainly Italian food.
